MEINL 1B-CAJ2RO-M Collection Snare Cajon Cherry
MEINL Collection Cajons are made with extra style for a great appearance on stage. The Cherry Collection Cajon has a warm Cherry Wood frontplate, adjustable snare effect, and is finished overall with Red Oak veneer. The snare mechanism has special wires that brush the inside surface of the frontplate. You control the effect with a finger knob on the side and can even turn off completely. The snare is more pronounced on the bass notes played in the middle of the cajon. A player may learn to ‘bend’ the pitch by pressing a heel of one foot into the frontplate. The upper corners of this cajon are adjustable and control the sharpness of the attack on slap strokes. A neoprene rubber pad on top makes it a comfortable seat and the rubber feet are stable on any surface. Extra color and musical ‘feel’ is possible with accompanying effects, such as our Foot Rattle. This lightweight rattle is worn around the player’s ankle and has a warm sound to complement your riffs without overpowering. The Cherry Cajon is built primarily from Rubber Wood. Environmentally sustainable Rubber Wood is perfect for percussion instruments. The wood has good acoustic properties and is structurally very stable. It also readily takes to most adhesives, veneers, and finishes.
